Ghanaians Want Us Back – NPP’s Justin Kodua Rallies Party for Unity and Discipline

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has issued a strong call for unity and discipline within the party, stressing that Ghanaians are ready to give the NPP another chance but only if the party proves it is prepared to govern responsibly.

Addressing delegates at the NPP’s National Delegates Conference on Saturday, July 19, Kodua expressed confidence that public sentiment is swinging back in favour of the NPP. “Ghanaians are looking for alternatives, and they want to come back to the NPP,” he said. “They know that under our government, they were offered better solutions to their problems.”

But he was quick to caution that the party’s return to power will depend on how it conducts itself in opposition. Kodua noted that internal divisions, personal agendas, and unnecessary conflicts only weaken the party’s image and undermine its chances.

“At the end of the day, the people want to vote for an opposition party that is ready for power,” he said. “Actions and inactions that seek to divide us and bring tension must be relegated.”

He urged all party members to focus on the greater goal of rescuing Ghanaians from what he described as the “hardship and mismanagement” under President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“We must show Ghanaians that we are a proper, responsible, and viable opposition party. One that is capable of rescuing them from the misery they are currently experiencing under the NDC government,” he added.
