At a press conference held by the Minority Leader in Parliament,on Monday 3 February 2025 Mr. Afenyo Markin accused the NDC (National Democratic Congress) Majority Caucus of using bullying tactics, asserting that they will not allow themselves to be intimidated.

He stated that the Minority leaders do not feel safe, as the NDC has been sending its “soldiers” to bully and intimidate them.

Markin remarked, “The insults, the insinuations, the attacks, and even the physical pushes will not instill fear in us.”

He also mentioned that they have alerted the Parliamentary Police about these incidents and have taken steps to increase their security in response to the rising tensions, especially after the incident the other night.

“We, the NPP, are law-abiding and known for our gentle manners. Therefore, we do not resort to physical confrontation, but we will protect ourselves because it is our right to do so,” he added.
