Countdown to Glory: 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards Nominees Revealed!

The organizers of the highly anticipated 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) officially unveiled the final list of nominees on Saturday, March 15, following the closure of the nomination filing process. The announcement marks the beginning of the countdown to Ghana’s most prestigious music awards ceremony, set to take place on May 3, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

Ahead of the main event, a pre-party is scheduled for May 2, bringing together nominees, industry stakeholders, and music enthusiasts for an evening of networking, discussions, and celebration. This gathering aims to foster stronger relationships within the music industry while setting the stage for an exciting awards night.

The 26th edition of the TGMA sees a competitive lineup of artists vying for the prestigious Artiste of the Year award. Once again, heavyweights such as Stonebwoy, King Promise, and Black Sherif have earned nominations in this coveted category. They are joined by rising stars Kweku Smoke, King Paluta, Team Eternity, and gospel sensation Joe Mettle, showcasing the diverse talents shaping Ghana’s vibrant music scene.

The Best Rap Performance category also features a formidable lineup, with industry veterans and new-generation lyricists battling for the top honor. Okyeame Kwame, Sarkodie, Flowking Stone, Eno Barony, Kweku Smoke, and Lyrical Joe will go head-to-head in a category that celebrates lyrical prowess and stage presence.

Gospel music remains a major highlight of the TGMA, and this year’s Best Gospel Artiste of the Year category is packed with some of Ghana’s finest gospel performers. Nominees include Joe Mettle, Piesie Esther, Diana Hamilton, Empress Gifty, Team Eternity Ghana, and MOG Music, each of whom has made significant contributions to the gospel music landscape over the past year.
