NPP Elects New National Executives to Lead Party Ahead of 2028 Elections

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has elected a new team of national executives to steer the party’s affairs as it begins preparations for the 2028 general elections.

The elections were held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, during the party’s National Delegates Conference at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, with more than 7,000 delegates taking part.

Former General Secretary John Boadu was elected National Chairman after securing 2,888 votes.

Justin Frimpong Kodua retained his position as General Secretary with 4,486 votes.

The three National Vice Chairpersons elected are Kojo Fosu Boadu, Henry Nana Boakye, and Nana Akomea, who will serve as First, Second, and Third Vice Chairpersons, respectively.

Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover was elected National Organiser with 2,964 votes, while Alfred Kojo Thompson became National Treasurer after polling 2,243 votes.

Abanga Fuseini Yakubu was elected National Youth Organiser with 1,550 votes, while Mavis Hawa Koomson secured the National Women’s Organiser position with 783 votes.

Mohammed Ali Suraj was elected National Nasara Organiser after polling 372 votes.

Dennis Edward Miracles Aboagye was also elected National Communications Director unopposed.
