The High Court has ordered the freezing of five bank accounts and four landed properties belonging to former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD), Dennis Miracles Aboagye.
The order, secured at the request of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), temporarily prevents any transactions involving the identified bank accounts.
The court has also barred the sale, transfer, mortgage or disposal of the four landed properties until further orders are made.
Among the assets affected by the order are a seven-bedroom residential property at Larteh, a two-bedroom residential property at Spintex and residential apartments at Adjiringanor. The order also covers approximately 15 acres of land located at Larteh.
The directive forms part of EOCO’s ongoing efforts to preserve assets that may be relevant to its investigations into alleged financial and procurement-related irregularities.
Miracles Aboagye is currently being investigated over alleged financial and procurement-related irregularities involving approximately GH¢55 million during his tenure as Executive Secretary of the IMCCoD.
