This appointment celebrates their immense contributions to Ghanaian and African football and their dedication to nurturing young talent.

Abedi Pele, a three-time African Footballer of the Year, remains one of the greatest players to emerge from the continent. He captained Ghana’s Black Stars, leading them to the 1992 AFCON final, after winning the tournament in 1982. His brilliance extended beyond African football, as he played a crucial role in Olympique Marseille’s historic UEFA Champions League triumph.

Asamoah Gyan, Ghana’s all-time leading goal scorer, has netted 51 goals in 109 appearances for the Black Stars. A key figure in Ghanaian football history, he played in three FIFA World Cups and helped the national team secure silver medals at the 2010 and 2015 AFCON tournaments. Having previously served as an ambassador for the tournament’s second edition, Gyan’s continued involvement underscores his passion for developing young talent.

As Ambassadors, Abedi Pele and Asamoah Gyan will promote the championship, inspire young players, and contribute to the growth of youth football across Africa.
