“I won’t leave tomorrow’s meeting without securing a drop in the pricing of DSTV”- Sam George

Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has assured Ghanaians that DSTV subscription prices will soon be reduced.

Speaking in a press briefing today, July 3, Sam George revealed that he recently met with the senior leadership of MultiChoice Ghana to discuss the high cost of DSTV packages. He explained that the meeting focused on public concerns about affordability and fairness.

“Last week, I invited the senior leadership of Multi-Choice Ghana to a formal dialogue on DSTV’s subscription pricing in Ghana,” he said. “I made it clear the Ministry’s expectation that pricing structures must be responsive to Ghana’s economic context.”

The Minister further announced that he will meet MultiChoice officials again tomorrow, including top management from South Africa, to push for immediate action. “I have a meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, even though it’s a public holiday, with the Ghana team and their South African counterparts,” he confirmed.

Sam George did not mince words when he made this bold promise: “I won’t leave tomorrow’s meeting without securing a drop in the pricing of DSTV. That is a solemn promise I make to you.”

He assured the public that the outcome of the meeting would be shared soon.
