In a statement released on the official Asante Kotoko Sporting Club page Monday April 21, the club confirmed its decision to part ways with Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum.

The announcement, which came after what the club described as “constructive discussions between both parties,” noted that the decision was mutual and taken in the best interest of the club at this time.

“Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has this afternoon parted company with Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum,” the statement read. “This decision was reached following constructive discussions between both parties, with a shared understanding that it is in the best interest of the club at this time.”

This comes after the team has dropped to fourth position in the title race table after managing only two wins in their last nine games. They have also lost in two games consecutively.

The club expressed gratitude to Coach Ogum for his service and dedication, stating: “We thank Coach Ogum for his dedication and service to the club, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors.”
