Dr. Bawumia Remains Top Choice for NPP Flagbearer Among Party Voters – Global Info Analytics

A new survey by Global Info Analytics shows that 57% of New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters prefer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to lead the party in the 2028 presidential elections.

Dr. Bawumia, the NPP’s flagbearer for the 2024 elections, emerges as the front-runner for the party’s next leadership race, securing 48% of the overall vote in the poll. His closest competitor, Kennedy Agyapong, garners 25%, while Dr. Osei Adutwum follows with 13%. The remaining candidates collectively receive 14%.

Among dedicated NPP supporters, Bawumia’s lead is even stronger, with 57% backing him, compared to 22% for Kennedy Agyapong and 11% for Dr. Osei Adutwum.

The poll results suggest that Bawumia’s leadership and influence within the party continue to resonate with members, positioning him as a dominant force in the NPP’s future. His role as Vice President and current flagbearer appears to have strengthened his appeal, making him the likely favorite for the 2028 race if he decides to contest
