NSA Announces Fresh Registration for 2025/26 National Service After Audit

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced that registration for the 2025/2026 service year will officially reopen on Wednesday, 8 October 2025, following the cancellation of all earlier registrations carried out in June.

The fresh exercise will run for one week and close on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. According to the Authority, payments made during the June registration period will be fully refunded.

In a statement issued on October 7, 2025, the NSA explained that the move was taken at the President’s directive following a Technical and forensic audit of the old Central Service Management Platform (CSMP). The audit reportedly revealed major flaws in the system, prompting the design of a new digital platform described as “more robust, transparent, secure, and capable of real-time verification.”

As a result, all registrations completed in June have been declared null and void, with prospective personnel directed to re-register. The Authority cited data integrity issues, including age discrepancies, as part of the challenges discovered in the previous process.

Step-by-step registration guidelines will be made available on the NSA’s new website, www.gnsa.gov.gh, beginning Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

The Authority also disclosed that it is implementing stringent IT reforms and internal controls to address payroll fraud and guarantee prompt payment of allowances. It is working in collaboration with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department to strengthen financial oversight, while periodic efficiency checks will be introduced to safeguard the system.

Meanwhile, the NSA has announced that all national service personnel are expected to report to their assigned institutions on Saturday, November 1, 2025, with the official start of the service year set for Monday, November 3, 2025.
