England captain Harry Kane has won the 2026 Ballon d’Or, becoming the first Englishman since Michael Owen in 2001 to claim football’s most prestigious individual award.
The Bayern Munich striker was rewarded for an outstanding 2025–26 season in which he scored 73 goals for club and country, including 61 for the German champions.
The 33-year-old finished ahead of several leading contenders, including Michael Olise, Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé, to secure the coveted Golden Ball.
Kane’s achievement marks a significant milestone in his career, with his prolific goalscoring form for Bayern Munich and England placing him among the standout players of the season.
