Bawumia Assures Dismissed Workers of Job Priority Under Next NPP Government

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2024 general elections, has pledged that dismissed workers will be prioritised for employment opportunities under the next NPP administration.

Addressing party supporters and residents during the NPP’s Thank You Tour in Takoradi on Saturday, 26th April 2025, Dr. Bawumia spoke with empathy about the hardship faced by those who have recently lost their jobs.

“I know how it feels to lose your job, your daily bread,” he said, adding that the NPP recognises the sacrifices many have made and remains committed to restoring their livelihoods.

He further assured that the next NPP government would roll out robust job creation initiatives, with a special focus on those most affected by the country’s current economic challenges.

“I assure you that in the next NPP administration, you will be prioritised for jobs,” he pledged, receiving enthusiastic applause from the crowd.

The Thank You Tour is part of the party’s broader strategy to reconnect with its support base and reaffirm its promises to Ghanaians ahead of the December 2025 elections.

Dr. Bawumia reiterated the NPP’s commitment to revitalising the economy, empowering businesses, and creating sustainable employment opportunities for the nation’s youth and displaced workers
