Czech President Petr Pavel to Embark on Historic State Visit to Ghana

President John Dramani Mahama is set to host the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, for a significant three-day State visit to Ghana from April 8 to April 10, 2025.

This visit marks a historic moment as it is the first time a Czech President has visited Ghana since diplomatic relations were first established between Ghana and the former Czechoslovakia in October 1959.

The visit also carries additional importance as it will be the first State Visit organized by President Mahama since his return to office in January 2025.

Throughout his stay, President Pavel is scheduled to engage in bilateral talks with President Mahama, participate in a business forum, and inaugurate a new health facility funded by the Czech government. He will also have the opportunity to tour iconic Ghanaian landmarks, including the Osu Castle and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. To mark the visit, President Mahama will host a State Dinner in honor of President Pavel.

This State visit is poised to further solidify the relationship between Ghana and the Czech Republic, paving the way for increased collaboration in areas of shared interest
