Ghanaian Twin Musicians Lali X Lola Advocate for the Return of TGMA’s Best Performing Group Category.

The Award winning Ghanaian twin musicians,Lali X Lola are making waves not only with their fresh Afrofusion sound but also with their bold advocacy for a crucial change in the  music industry. 

The duo, known for their unique blend of Afrobeat, Afro-soul, and Afro-fusion genres, is taking a stand for the recognition of groups at the Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

In a call for the reinstatement of the Best Performing Group category, Lali X Lola are championing the importance of celebrating the collective efforts that drive success in the industry. 

The Musical duo post a letter on their official instagram page directing it to the Board Members of the Award Scheme stating how impactful and significant music group has become over the years.

And also” how these groups are making tremendous contributions to the growth of the industry, with chart-topping hits, compelling live performances, and a renewed sense of collaboration. Notable groups such as Dope Nation, Keche, Team Eternity, Bhad Mayors, and ourselves— Lali x Lola — are just a few examples of the vibrant collective energy driving the industry forward”.

As a duo who have already garnered significant recognition for their powerful performances and distinct style, Lali X Lola believe the reinstatement of this category will inspire more creativity and teamwork among artists. The music landscape in Ghana has evolved with a growing number of musical duos and groups, and Lali X Lola’s advocacy is timely.
