The Management of the National Service Authority (NSA) has officially released the first batch of postings for the 2025/2026 service year, marking the beginning of another crucial phase in Ghana’s national development agenda.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the Authority announced that a total of 85,159 personnel drawn from all accredited tertiary institutions across the country have been deployed to various public and private institutions to undertake their one-year mandatory national service.
According to the release, this initial figure “excludes personnel who had issues with data mismatch and have either had it resolved or are pending review, teachers, nurses, midwives, and other equally vital categories.” The Authority added that postings for these remaining groups will be released in due course, which means the overall number of service personnel is expected to rise.
Providing clarity on the process, the National Service Authority emphasized that the postings were guided by a series of technical and procedural checks to ensure fairness and accuracy. The statement urged the public to “appreciate the technicalities and procedural steps underpinning the National Service posting arrangements.”
Outlining the detailed statistics behind the exercise, the Authority disclosed that a total of 150,937 students were uploaded into the system, out of which 91,339 paid for their PIN codes. From that figure, 85,459 were successfully verified using the Ghana Card, while 85,159 completed their registration.
To ensure a smooth registration process, the Authority has provided a clear procedure for all prospective personnel. Graduates are required to first check their placements by logging onto the official website of the Authority, gnsa.gov.gh. After confirming their postings, they must print out their appointment letters and proceed to the designated place of posting for endorsement by their Line Manager or the assigned official.
Once endorsement is completed, personnel are to book an appointment online, selecting a convenient date and time for their registration before the stipulated deadline. They must then visit their designated Regional Validation and Registration Centre with the endorsed appointment letter and a valid Ghana Card to complete the registration process.
The Regional Validation and Registration exercise is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, and will run until Friday, November 21, 2025.
The Management further cautioned personnel against engaging the services of middlemen or fraudulent agents who claim to have the power to alter postings. “The Authority does not engage the services of these so-called ‘middlemen’ in its deployment exercise,” the statement stressed.
The 2025/2026 National Service officially begins on Monday, November 3, 2025, and the Authority is encouraging all posted graduates to accept their placements and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s development.
“Management congratulates you on your appointment and wishes you well in your role in resetting Ghana’s socio-economic space,” the statement concluded.
