Parliament has approved the 2025 Appropriation Bill, allowing the government to spend GH¢293 billion from the consolidated fund and other public funds for the next financial year.
This bill provides the legal framework for government spending, ensuring that funds are directed toward key areas of the economy. The approved budget includes GH¢68 billion for wages and salaries, reinforcing the government’s commitment to paying public sector workers. Additionally, GH¢13 billion has been allocated to clear outstanding arrears, addressing unpaid financial obligations from previous years.
The approval of this bill is a crucial step in securing funding for government operations and development projects throughout 2025. It allows spending on infrastructure, social services, and economic programs aimed at fostering national growth and stability.
