Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang will be traveling abroad for further medical care following a sudden illness that required urgent attention at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
A statement from the Presidency revealed that the Vice President fell ill after work on Friday, March 28, and was admitted to UGMC the following day for treatment. Medical specialists have since recommended additional specialized care overseas to support her full recovery.
The statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP), Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, reassured the public that the Vice President is receiving the highest level of medical care and that her condition is being carefully managed
