Renowned Ghanaian journalist Nana Aba Anamoah has openly addressed her personal issue with Hon. Mark Okraku-Mantey. Speaking on United Showbiz, she did not hold back as she criticized the former Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture.
The controversy arose after Okraku-Mantey claimed that United Showbizhad strayed from its focus on entertainment issues and was now more politically inclined. He even suggested that the show’s name be changed to reflect this shift.
In response, Nana Aba strongly disagreed, stating, “He has no right to criticize the show or anything in the industry because he failed to make any meaningful changes during his time in office.”
She went on to question his contributions to the industry, saying, “He talks about problems in the entertainment space, but what did he do to fix them when he was a radio presenter for so many years? He was later given a position that could have enabled him to bring real change, yet he did nothing.”
Nana Aba further criticized Okraku-Mantey’s impact, concluding, “What was his contribution? It was zero. You know what? He sounds better when he is quiet. He shouldn’t comment on what others are doing in the industry when he himself was not impactful.”
Her remarks have since sparked conversations in the entertainment industry, with many weighing in on the debate
