New 2025 DV Plates Launched by DVLA with Cutting-Edge Security Enhancements

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has launched the 2025 DV plates across all its operational offices in Ghana, introducing advanced security features to curb counterfeiting and enhance authenticity.

Speaking on the significance of the new plates, the Chief Executive of DVLA, Julius Neequaye Kotey, highlighted the Authority’s commitment to leveraging technology to improve vehicle registration and licensing.

We are excited to introduce the 2025 DV plate, which represents a significant improvement in vehicle registration and licensing in Ghana. The new plate demonstrates the Authority’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance security and convenience for its customers,” he stated.

The 2025 DV plates have enhanced security features, including holograms, watermarks, and QR codes, all meticulously designed to prevent unauthorized duplication and protect vehicle owners.

These new plates are now available at DVLA operational offices nationwide, offering access to vehicle owners, automobile dealers, distributors, freight forwarders, and agents.

In collaboration with the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service, the DVLA has issued a stern warning against the use or trade of counterfeit DV plates. Authorities are intensifying efforts to track down and prosecute individuals engaged in such illegal activities.

The DVLA encourages customers with any inquiries to contact their Customer Service Centre at 0302746760 for further assistance.
