The Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has fired Mr. Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Mafo from his role as Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA).
A letter signed by the Chief Director of the Ministry, Alexander Yaw Arphul, confirmed the dismissal:
“I wish to inform you that the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations has terminated your appointment as the Director of Cyber Security of the National Communications Authority effective immediately.”
Mr. Osafo-Mafo has been directed to hand over his responsibilities to the Acting Director General of the NCA.
“You are directed to hand over your duties to the Ag Director General of the National Communications Authority. In line with paragraph 8 of your appointment letter, you will be given three months’ salary in lieu of notice.
“The honorable Minister extends his gratitude for your service to the nation.”
