Mahama also assured retired service members that their contributions would not be forgotten. He promised prompt payment of pensions and benefits to honor their years of service:
“For our veterans who have given so much to this country, we will make sure your retirement benefits are paid without delay.”
He highlighted the critical role the Armed Forces play in keeping Ghana safe and stable, and promised that his administration would provide the resources needed for the military to carry out its duties effectively.
In his address to the graduating cadets, Mahama encouraged them to uphold the values of leadership, service, and commitment to the nation.
The colorful commissioning parade was attended by senior military officials, government representatives, diplomats, and proud relatives of the new officers.
